Sound Therapy

Sound therapy — sometimes called sound healing or a sound bath — is a deeply embodied experience that works through vibration, rhythm, and resonance.

Across cultures and ancient traditions, sound has long been used to support healing, ritual, and altered states of awareness. Today, modern science is beginning to understand why sound can have such a profound effect on the nervous system, emotional regulation, and states of consciousness.

This work lives at the meeting point of ancient wisdom and contemporary understanding.

The Felt Experience

During a sound immersion, vibrations move through the body in waves. Many people describe sensations of being deeply held and gently expanded at the same time — like floating while remaining grounded.

Sound can evoke images, emotions, memories, or simply a sense of vastness and rest. For some, it feels oceanic and womb-like; for others, spacious and sky-opening. There is no right way to experience it.

You don’t need to do anything.
Your body listens before your mind does.

Sound is vibration. When instruments are played, sound waves travel not only through the air, but also through tissue, fluid, and bone. These vibrations interact with the body’s natural rhythms — breath, heartbeat, and nervous system activity.

From a scientific perspective, steady, resonant sound can help the nervous system shift out of stress responses and into states associated with rest, regulation, and coherence.

From a more ancient or energetic lens, sound has always been understood as a carrier of frequency — a way of bringing the body, emotions, and inner world back into harmony.

You don’t need to choose one explanation over the other.
What matters is the direct experience — how your body responds, softens, and reorganises itself in the presence of sound.

Sound therapy may support:
deep relaxation and rest
• emotional release without needing to talk
• nervous system regulation after stress or overwhelm
• a sense of grounding and inner spaciousness
• reconnection with the body and felt sense

This is not about forcing change.
It’s about creating the conditions in which change can unfold naturally.

I work intuitively with a range of instruments, including:
• drum
• Chinese gong
• alchemy crystal bowls
• bamboo chimes
• Solfeggio tuning forks
• Nepalese bowls

• Indigenous flute.

Each instrument you’ll hear has been best quality, handcrafted and intentionally chosen. I don’t work with sound tools casually or by chance. I take time to connect with each instrument — many of which were created by healers, or sourced through healing communities — before inviting them into my practice.

Sound carries relationship. The care with which an instrument is made, chosen, and tended to becomes part of the experience it offers.

Each session is shaped by what’s present in the moment.

In-person sessions include a short conversation followed by a sound immersion.
